Do you have enough cleaning robots?
To heck with flying cars, I want my scrub bot.
Hi Frenz!
I’ve probably mentioned that my alter ego writes science fiction. (Yes, Lia, we know that. You’ve “mentioned” it so. many. times.) The biography on her website ends with the sentence: “She has a spouse, three children, and a house that could really use a few cleaning robots.”
This is mainly because her most popular series (aside from the Dragons of Safe Haven, of course,) is her Space Janitor series.
Luckily for her (and me, since we’re the same person) Dave the Support Husband loves tech-y stuff. So much that I often accuse him of suffering from techno-lust. But in this case, it means he likes cleaning bots. Real and fictional.
(Just to be clear, he does most of the cleaning anyway. I’m too lazy busy to bother with all of that vacuuming and scrubbing. Both I and the health department are eternally grateful he’s willing to pick up the slack.)
Anyway, we have had “Vacubot 3000” for a couple of years now, and it does a great job at keeping the floors and carpets clean. But now we’ve got a WinBot. Yes, it cleans the windows! And it does them well. Not quickly, but well. Unfortunately, you (and by “you” I mean Dave—see above) have to place it on each pane and start it, but then it makes them sparkle!
So why am I telling you all of this? Mainly to brag about my husband. And because you deserve a cleaning robot, too. We all do. Isn’t that what the Jetsons promised?
What’s new in book world?
I haven’t been writing this week. I’ve been visiting my brother in Las Vegas where it’s been approximately 458 degrees every day. Thank the good Lord for air conditioning!
I haven’t completely abandoned my books, though! I got A Rider’s Guide to Dragon Healing out to my beta team who worked super fast and returned it to me before we left Oregon. No, there were no time machines involved. I sent it to them on Tuesday, and I had most of their comments before Friday! They are incredible.
If you preordered it from my store, you should have already gotten it! If not, check your BookFunnel account. Let me know if you don’t see it. You can still buy it there (with immediate delivery) until June 29th and it will go live on Amazon—and into KU—on the 30th. I know I said last time it would be the 25th, but that was a bit too ambitious.
I’ve also gotten the paperback cover from Mariah, which means I’m waiting impatiently for the proof to arrive!
In the meantime, here are some books I think you should check out:
The Books
In these five original stories set in the land of Karneesia, unlikely heroes will rise, and the currents of magic will shift in Come Awake.
Perfect for fans of enemies-to-more, forbidden closed-door love, and high-stakes adventure. Though a standalone, the books are interconnected and best read in order as the lore builds and the characters interconnect. (Book 1 is here.)
And here’s a group promotion with a bunch of closed door/no-spice/clean romances set in cozy towns (in the real world, not a fantasy one.)
That’s it from me! Talk to you soon,
~ Lia
